Dental Implants
Learn MoreIf you’re missing some or all of your permanent teeth, implant-supported dentures can restore your smile as well as your biting and chewing abilities. At Tooth Corps, general and cosmetic dentist Gary Gwilt, DMD, and the team offer implant supported dentures starting at $5,200. To make an appointment at the practice in Peoria, Arizona, call the office, or schedule online today.
Implant-supported dentures are custom-designed oral prosthetics that replace your natural teeth. Instead of resting on top of your gums like traditional dentures, implant-supported dentures connect to dental implants.
Dental implants are titanium posts placed into your jaw during an outpatient procedure. Over time, they integrate with your natural bone structure, providing a foundation for dental restorations like dentures.
Implant-supported dentures look, feel, and function like your permanent teeth. With good oral hygiene and routine checkups, they often last a lifetime.
To get implant-supported dentures, you need to have enough jawbone strength to support them. If you have low bone volume or a history of gum disease, Dr. Gwilt might recommend a prerequisite treatment like a bone graft before moving forward.
Let Dr. Gwilt and the team know if you have a chronic health problem like heart disease or high blood pressure. It’s important that these conditions are stable before getting dental implants, as they may increase your risk of surgical complications.
Getting implant-supported dentures takes a series of appointments spaced over the course of several months.
If Dr. Gwilt determines you qualify for implant-supported dentures, he administers local or general anesthesia and places a number of titanium posts into your jaw. Afterward, he writes you a prescription for antibiotics, pain medicine, and provides care instructions.
When the implants integrate into your natural bone structure, which can take a few months, you return to Tooth Corps. Dr. Gwilt takes impressions of your mouth and sends them to a dental laboratory. The technicians at the lab use your impressions to design and manufacture a custom set of implant-supported dentures.
A week or two later, when the laboratory completes your dentures, you return to Tooth Corps for the final phase. Dr. Gwilt administers a local anesthetic, attaches the dentures to the dental implants, and polishes them. You leave the practice with a vibrant, fully restored smile.
Dr. Gwilt and the team offer implant-supported dentures starting at just $5,200. The cost of your custom set depends on the materials used, the number of teeth you’re missing, and your treatment goals.
